Before & After
Case Details
This patient in her 60s presented with concerns that her eyes looked tired, asymmetric and unfriendly.
On evaluation, Dr. Phan noted mild lid ptosis on both sides and dermatochalasis more on the right left upper eyelid. Given the mildness of the ptosis, Dr. Phan recommended bilateral internal ptosis repair to shortened and tightened the muscles responsible for lifting the eyelids, allowing them to lift more effectively. At the same, Dr. Phan combined ptosis repair with blepharoplasty to conservatively remove excess skin from her natural eyelid creases, since patient did not have double eyelids in her youth.
Patient, pictured here 1-month post bilateral internal ptosis repair and blepharoplasty, demonstrated natural restoration of her eyes. They appeared refreshed, softer and balanced, without looking overdone.
