Case #66

This patient presented with significant right lower eyelid retraction, caused by a shortage of skin. As the eyelid pulled downward, it lead to  increased exposure of the eye and visible scleral show beneath the iris. To restore the eyelid to a more natural height and contour, Dr. Phan recommended a full-thickness skin graft to vertically lengthen the eyelid and a collagen implant to provide additional support and help hold the lid upward.

Patient, pictured here 3 months after right lower eyelid retraction repair via full-thickness skin graft and collagen implant, demonstrated improvement of eyelid height, contour, and function, with a more natural and balanced appearance.
