Reconstruction Before & After Case 62

This patient presented with a biopsy-proven basal cell carcinoma at the center of the left lower eyelid. Dr. Phan recommended resection combined with reconstruction on the same day. One-fourth of the eyelid was excised in full-thickness fashion to completely remove the skin cancer. The eyelid margin and lash line were reapproximated meticulously with internal and external sutures.  

Patient, pictured here 6-weeks after left lower eyelid basal cell carcinoma resection and reconstruction, demonstrated excellent restoration of the eyelid and preservation of the natural height, contour and function.
