Before & After
Case Details
This patient in her 40s presented after long consideration of her asymmetric eyebrows. Non-surgical modalities had not been successful. Patient had done her research for more permanent solution to her eyebrows and consulted with different surgeons.
On evaluation, Dr. Phan noted drooping brows on both sides, the right being more pronounced. In addition to the asymmetric brow ptosis, Dr. Phan also noted bilateral thick and redundant skin of the eyelid folds. For brow ptosis, Dr. Phan recommended bilateral brow lift. For the dermatochalasis, Dr. Phan recommended blepharoplasty.
Typically, with thicker skin folds, Dr. Phan favors sub-brow blepharoplasty rather than the traditional crease blepharoplasty. (See blog for discussion on different blepharoplasties.)
In this case, to achieve more symmetry, but preserve the appearance of the eyes, brow lift was combined with crease blepharoplasty.
Patient, pictured here 1-month post bilateral brow lift and blepharoplasty, demonstrated the desired natural lift and symmetry. The eyes looked softer, engaging, and not overdone.
