Reconstruction Before & After Case 58

This patient presented with biopsy-proven basal cell carcinoma of the inner half of the left lower eyelid. Dr. Phan recommend resection followed by reconstruction on the same day. One-third of the eyelid was excised in a full-thickness fashion to completely remove the skin cancer. The eyelid margin and lash line were meticulously reapproximated with internal and external sutures to preserve the height, contour and function of the eyelid.

Patient, pictured here 2-weeks after left lower eyelid basal cell carcinoma resection and reconstruction, demonstrated excellent healing of the natural restoration of the eyelid.
