Before & After
Case Details
This patient in her 50s presented with concern of long-standing heavy upper eyelid hoodings that made her look tired and older than she felt. She noticed that her eyes looked and felt better when she lifted her brows.
During evaluation, Dr. Phan determined that the fullness of the upper eyelids was caused more by brow ptosis than by excess eyelid skin alone. She recommended a combination of bilateral brow lift and upper blepharoplasty: the brow lift to elevate the brows and relieve the downward weight on the upper lids and the blepharoplasty to remove the remaining excess skin.
Because a brow lift felt more involved and drastic than the patient was ready for at the time, she opted for bilateral upper blepharoplasty alone.
Patient, pictured here 1 month after blepharoplasty, demonstrated less upper eyelid hooding and brighter, more refreshed appearance. The result was subtle and natural—exactly the rejuvenation the patient was hoping to achieve.
