Case Details
This patient in her 40s presented with long-standing concern for upper and lower lid “bags” and looking older than she felt.
On evaluation, Dr. Phan noted thick, excess skin of the upper eyelids and fullness of the lower eyelids due to herniated orbital fat. Dr. Phan also noted deep inferiorbital grooves due to loss of volume there. To address these changes, Dr. Phan recommended bilateral upper sub-brow and lower lid blepharoplasty with fat transposition, followed by PRP+polynucleotide injections to the inferiorbital grooves.
Skin was removed from an incision immediately under the eye brows to reduce the thickness of the eyelid folds. Herniated orbital fats were draped into the tear troughs to smooth the lower lids' contour. PRP+polynucleotide were injected into the tear troughs three times one month apart to stimulate collagen and further volumize the inferiorbital grooves.
Patient, pictured here 3-months post bilateral upper sub-brow and lower lid blepharoplasty with fat transposition and PRP+polynucleotide injections, demonstrated naturally-appearing rejuvenated eyes. Patient appeared herself again and with no visible incision lines.
