Case Details
This patient in her 40s presented with heavy lateral hooding on both sides that made her looked aged.
During evaluation, Dr. Phan noted lateral hooding on both sides. Left side appeared saggier than the right. The left side seemed worse because of the left brow rather than because of more skin. The drooping left brow pushed down into the skin fold, causing it to sag lower. Dr. Phan, therefore, recommended bilateral upper blepharoplasty and left brow lift. While patient was prepared for the former and not the latter, Dr. Phan proceeded with bilateral upper blepharoplasty and left PDO thread brow lift.
PDO threads were placed under the forehead skin to engage and lift the skin and thus brow. This lift lasted about one year. PDO threads may be replaced as many times as desired.
Patient, pictured here 4-months post bilateral blepharoplasty and left PDO thread brow lift, demonstrated refreshed and more symmetrical looking eyes.
