Case Details
This patient in her 40s presented with long-standing concern for upper and lower lid bags. She felt they made her look older than she felt.
During evaluation, Dr. Phan determined patient had excess skin and no significant fat of her upper eyelids. On the contrary, Dr. Phan noted more herniated orbital fat than excess skin of the lower eyelids. The herniated orbital fat caused the full contour of the lower eyelids. To address these changes, Dr. Phan recommended bilateral upper and lower blepharoplasty and fat transposition or reposition to remove more upper than lower lid excess skin and to spread the orbital fat from where there was too much to area of hollowing beneath.
Patient, pictured here 5-months post bilateral upper and lower blepharoplasty and fat transposition or reposition, demonstrated elevated skin folds superiorly, smoother contour inferiorly and years off the eyes. The patient appeared just refreshed and not overdone.
