Case Details
This patient in her 20s presented with concerns of heavy holdings and lack of double eyelids.
During evaluation, Dr. Phan noted very low eyelid creases. After reviewing the patient's desired crease height and contour, Dr. Phan recommended bilateral Asian blepharoplasty to create 6-mm creases with modified taper contours. Given the patient's concern for extensive surgery and scar, Dr. Phan achieved these goals via suture method. Through six small stab incisions, sutures were threaded across the eyelids at the desired height, anchoring the skin to deeper eyelid structures and thus forming creases at desired height and more prominent double eyelids.
Patient, pictured here 1-month post bilateral non-incisional Asian blepharoplasty, demonstrated subtle double eyelids, as she requested. Having higher creases held the skin folds up without having to remove skin. Of note here, there was very little inflammation with this method.
