Case Details
This patient in her 40s presented with concerns that her right eye looked smaller, creating noticeable asymmetry between the eyes.
On evaluation, Dr. Phan noted the right upper eyelid margin resting near the center of the pupil, a finding consistent with lid ptosis. This developed as the muscles responsible for lifting the eyelid gradually thinned, stretched, and weakened over time. To restore symmetry, Dr. Phan recommended right internal ptosis repair. Through an incision placed on the back side of the eyelid, the Müller muscle was tightened to help elevate the eyelid more effectively.
Patient, pictured here 1 month after right internal ptosis repair, demonstrated natural restoration of the right eye opening and improved balance between the eyes. She appeared refreshed, harmonious, and rejuvenated.
