Xanthelasma Before & After Case 142

6-month post right upper eyelid xanthelasma excision. Given the young age and lack of laxity in the skin, the lesion was careful measured, marked and excised; and the wound was then closed with a full-thickness skin graft. To achieve the best color and texture match, the graft was taken from the same upper eyelid immediately adjacent to the xanthelasma. After adequate time for healing, there was no residual yellow plaque or significant visible scarring, despite the need for graft reconstruction.
