Case Details
This patient in her 50s presented with concerns that her eyes appeared tired and aged. They looked and felt better when the eyelids were held up. Patient also recalled having large, well-defined double eyelids when she was younger.
During evaluation, Dr. Phan noted excess skin overlapping the eyelid crease tarsal plate (the space between the eyelid crease and lash line) on both sides. Under the skin folds, the eyelid creases measured at appropriate height. To remove the redundant skin and restore the appearance of the natural double eyelids, Dr. Phan recommended bilateral upper blepharoplasty.
Patient, pictured here 3-months post bilateral blepharoplasty, demonstrated double eyelids and brighter, engaging eyes. Her eyelid anatomy was restored to her natural position, creating a refreshed and not overdone appearance.
