Case Details
This patient in his 20s presented wanting to have double eyelids. After reviewing photographs and understanding the patient's desired eyelid heights and contours, Dr. Phan recommended bilateral Asian blepharoplasty and skin removal. The eyelid creases were set at 8 mm and with modified taper and parallel contour. Patient, pictured 3-months post bilateral Asian blepharoplasty with skin removal, demonstrated double eyelids that were balanced with his eye openings. Overall, the eyes appeared brighter and engaging.
As expected with Asian blepharoplasty, patient also demonstrated mild residual swelling. It is not uncommon for the tarsal plate, the space between the eyelid crease and eye lashes, to stay swollen for the first few to several months after Asian blepharoplasty. It will resolve with time.
