Before & After
Case Details
This patient in her late teens presented wanting double eyelids. After reviewing the desired amount and shape of double eyelids, Dr. Phan recommended setting the eyelid creases at 8 mm and with taper contour. This allowed for more visible double eyelids while preserving the Asian appearance. Patient, pictured here 6-weeks post bilateral Asian blepharoplasty, demonstrated naturally-appearing creases and double eyelids.
As expected with Asian blepharoplasty, patient also demonstrated mild residual swelling. It is not uncommon for the tarsal plate, the space between the eyelid crease and eye lashes, to stay swollen for the first few to several months after Asian blepharoplasty. It will resolve with time.
